| Nice sunny day for running...just very cold so I went out about 11 am. I have not been blogging my runs lately and there haven't been a lot of them. 3 a week at most. Just starting to get back in to it. This was my longest run for quite some time. Was planning on driving down to a flat area to run but instead ran down the parkway and struggled just a bit to get back up. Saw S. Sundwall, the North Star of running around here, down in the city. He just keeps on going like the energizer bunny. The last bit my overall pace went to 9:02 so I kicked it up a notch at the very last .3 miles to get down under 9 and then walked about .4 of a mile to ease up the legs.

| First day of official training for Top of Utah marathon. Been running on the treadmill lately a lot due to crappy weather...cold, windy and wet... Today was 45ish, cloudy and nice for a run. Ran 5 on the ridge with some smaller hills. 9:07 pace is kinda slow but OK...will look to do 3 more runs this week as weather looks halfway decent. Meaning not too cold and not much rain in the forecast.

| Rainy and my calves are a bit tight from the run on Monday so hit the treadmill for a 4 mile with 3 hill climbs and 2 speed runs included. |

| 4 miles easy on the tread and will look to go 10 miles on Saturday outside(hoping for good running weather). Feeling good and looking forward to running outside for my runs as we get some decent weather. |

| Perfect running weather today...partly cloudy with mid 50's temp. and no wind or rain. Easy run in Snoqualmie(flat) with a couple miles on the Sno. Valley trail. Started out with a long sleeve tech shirt and short sleeve on but after 4 miles ditched them along with my hat as it was making me sweat a LOT. Lungs were feeling great but legs got a bit tired at the end so finished up with an 8:10 mile. The first nine were run at 8:58 pace, just going easy. Legs are feeling really good from the slow buildup to this.

| Sweet morning for a run 50-55 degrees with sunshine. 2nd day in a row of sunshine. Ridge run with 1 of the miles the parkway hill. It's a mile from bottom to top but uphill is about .75-.8 miles and I did that at a pretty good sprint. overall pace today was 8:45...not bad but certainly not fast either. Body feels great!! |

| Another PERFECT running morning. Cool(55) with plenty of sunshine though so just wore a short sleeve tech shirt. I can't believe how well my legs and body are responding to this uptick in miles and running on "real" surfaces. Going at an easy pace and finished at an 8:42 ... gonna have to look for some races this summer!

| We've had nice sunny days for 4 days in a row this week...knew that wasn't going to last. A little rain overnight so cooled off a bit...upper 40's for the run...a little wind but not bad. Drove down to town and ran Mill pond out to the bridge then SVT to Centennial Park. Then back on SVT then back to CP. And finally Mill pond and done...the SVT does tend to be easier on the legs but it slurps the energy right out of them too. Got a bit tired toward the end but was able to focus and keep good form and even speed up a bit on the last mile.
Started off really sluggish the first 3/4 of a mile then got in a nice rythm. Surprised me at how quickly my fitness is coming back... Overall pace 8:39 with last mile coming in at 8:27...

| Another gorgeous morning for a run...upper 40's overcast and a bit of wind but not much. Legs are feeling great...got in a few hills of decent size... overall pace of 8:51 was slower than I expected but not bad. Will try to get in some speedwork on wednesday, easy on thursday and 12 more on Saturday.

| Nice running weather...overcast with some wind in places...low 50's Warm up of about 2.75 miles easy at the ridge. Saw my buddy the Treeman and ran for about 3/4 of a mile with him...he's getting ready to run the Rock n Roll Seattle marathon in about a month. After warmup hit the parkway hill and tried to go fast up it but the wind turned crazy there and was pounding me. Finally made it to the top and was beat...wind at my back was an easy cruise back down. overall pace was 8:37

| Beautiful day for a long run...started out at the RR tracks area, then up around Kinghorn loop. Through town and then back to the car at 4.6 miles for some water. Then off to Mill Pond rd. to the Bridge and on the SVT to Centennial and a lap around and another water stop at 9 miles. Then back on the trail for more and finally back to the car. Garmin died about 12 miles in..I was at about a 9 minute pace overall. Nice run and the wind was hitting me in the face on the way back which was really nice keeping the sweat out of my eyes.

| Tweaked my knee during softball on Monday evening and it didn't feel right all week so no running. I finally got out with Tim on Saturday and we pushed out 16...tough on the last few miles. |
