Trail run with Bruce. Cold and slight wind. Bruce was having sinus issues but he hung in there.

Ups and downs but not killer ones as Bruce only had one other day this week to work out.

Pace 11:30

HR 136. That's pretty low for one of these trail runs. I like to see it coming down along with my weight.

Nice job on the run.

What is your goal weight (or can I ask)? Looks like you are making good progress! Nice.

Thanks! Not really a goal weight other than I still have some saddlebags that haven't gone away. Probably around 165ish which is where I was when first married. The crazy part is back then I wanted to gain weight and now wish I never had. I grew up in Murray and so will root for the Utes in their bowl game-

Congratulations on your beautiful baby! And I see from the gang sign she is throwing up, you are from the west side...?

Mike left the beginning of June and will be back in July of '09. But he gets two weeks at Christmas that we are very much looking forward to!

Congrats on your baby girl! How's your not-even-two-week-old?

Are you tracking calories burned or eaten?

From jefferey on Sun, Nov 23, 2008 at 10:56:26

Mike,

Calories burned. I just try to eat semi-responsibly. Lots of popcorn with butter and grated cheese every once in a while. Ice cream every now and then. And the killer at this time of year **EggNog** which tempted me last night and had a small glass. By the way our 4 year old is Amanda Rose.

Nova did 2 4 hour stints last night so my wife got some sleep and it can now be a happy day 8)

Nice run, Jeff. Glad to hear Nova is sleeping more. When my girl was a few weeks old, and my MIL was staying with us (supporting me in what I'm about to tell you), I decided to let my DD sleep on her stomach -- as every baby of my generation did. That night she went 6 hours and I felt like a completely new person. (Later I learned that of the SIDS deaths in King County, nearly 50% are babies who are put on their backs to sleep; not a very convincing statistic.) Everyone has to choose their own way of course, but I can certainly relate to the blissful feeling of getting a full REM cycle. :)
