Super Windy out today...I'm beat up from my run on Saturday...decided to take it easy on the legs...treadmill run...yes boring but easy on the legs and not getting blown over was nice too. I was looking out the window and a robin was trying to walk across the street and it was looking like it had too much to drink.

Gonna run M-Th lower miles this week instead of M W Th higher miles...just so I can be slightly fresh for the half marathon this Saturday.

That wind was brutal! I woke up at 5:30, heard the wind...looked out my window then went back to sleep. I'll see you at the race this weekend. I've never done a race with mariachi's - even when I did a half in Mexico :)

I'm looking forward to the half(OK maybe not the last 5K of it)...hope to see you there...will you be wearing an eeyore tail or anything like that? 8-)

I guess a donkey tail would be easier to pull off than donkey ears. We'll see what I come up with :)

GOOD LUCK on your half this Sat. Are you racing it as a tune-up?

I saw a robin wobbling alongside the dirt shoulder on my run this morning too. The wind storm is heading here and expecting snow tomorrow. Can't believe this crazy spring weather!

SmoothOne,

You would've rocked the marathon if you hadn't been so nice to stay with those other guys! :-)

It is a tune up race but am looking to run it pretty hard. It's only my second Half marathon and am pretty sure that I can KILL my previous PR here. This is in my backyard!

AWESOME! Line up at the front so you don't waste energy weaving around other folks. Go for it! Go win your AG and do us proud! This is your turf, you own it! Can't wait to read all about it!

Well Smooth...I run with my buddy who is about 5 years older and he's in the 50-54 ag and we usually finish close and he alway seems to be 1st or 2nd in his ag and I'm usually 6-8 in mine...too many dang runners at my age group...I'm happy to improve and that's all I worry about. It does feel good to push out of the comfort zone every now and again.

That Half Marathon looks like a great cause in fund raising for research for Pediatric Cancer. You will feel good in all accounts, running with an older buddy (and celebrate his AG win), meanwhile capturing your PR. Sounds like a win-win thing! May the running gods be with you! What are you shooting for? sub 1:50 is well within your easy reach!
