37 degrees when I left the house this morning. About 4 miles into the run there was some white stuff coming down. I thought it was just something from the trees but it was snow...for about 5 minutes.

this run was the exact opposite of my easy Monday run. There is a pattern that is showing up here. This is my only back to back run and it is always after my speed or tempo runs. My body doesn't really like this run but I know that it is helping my mental toughness to run when my body says "Don't do it...stay in bed!"

Most interesting song on the radio during the run was 'She's a super freak'- Saw a gorgeous white pigeon during the run as well. Avoided hills as much as possible. I'm just plain tired after that-

Those runs the day after a really hard workout can mess with your mind, huh?

Nice job getting it done.

We have a Halloween skeleton the sings "She's a Super Freak." It's my kids' favorite.

Have a GREAT Friday!!

I think you are quite right that the day-after runs make you stronger. I also think they hasten recovery, though it always feels quite the opposite. Good luck Saturday!

Teena,

I'm with you sister...it does feel good to be done with that...I'm just not in shape like you youngsters.

I would comment more on your blog but because you are one of the "popular kids", it fills up my inbox too quickly :-) Have a great weekend! Make sure your homework is done first though...

Ha ha! What radio station are you listening to Jefferey? I think that would be a great addition to a playlist for speed days. Or dancing days.

Jefferey,

Thanks for referring to me as a "youngster." I owe you big time!!! I hate being twice the age as some of the kids in my classes (or so it seems).

Doing homework now!! :)
