| Have had some soreness the last few days so it's the elliptical for a while. 60 minutes with a gradual buildup from easy to moderate then 5 minute cooldown. HR high 147 Avg. 122

| Another elliptical day - I had the garmin on the wrong screen and was watching avg. hr instead of current hr. Wondered why it was so tough to get my hr up. Oh well, good darn workout! Max HR 158 and avg. 135. This is working my quads pretty good without causing the tenderness I've been having lately that comes with running. Probably another week like this then maybe test it on a short run. Happy Independence day! Just put a 10 lb. brisket on the smoker...dinner @ 3 today

Still on injured reserve - probably shouldn't have played softball on Monday night without even a warm-up jog. Will continue to rest until back to normal. No pain to speak of, just some tender spots at times.

| Another 55 degree morning. Perfect running weather! Still sitting here at the computer but hope to be running next week. Don't feel any discomfort at all but want to be certain this crap is ready to roll before going again. Looks like we will be in Utah between July 24th and Aug 1. Maybe I can hit some of the trails while there.

| Championship softball tonight for the Issaquah Rec. D league baby! Will do a warm-up jog and that will tell me whether I'm good to start running again or not. 2 weeks without running has been tough but has also felt good to rest up the ol' body.

| The groundhog showed his shadow so no running for a while more. Still have tenderness in the muscles after softball so now I'm going to be a Crosstrain King! Elliptical and bikes here I come until this gets back to normal. And to make it worse, we got beat in both softball games last night. Then Sean S. goes down on his last at bat to a groin injury. We lost 2 people to groin injuries in those two games. |

| Elliptical 10 easy, 20 moderate and then 10 easy cooldown. It's sure nice to be able to work up a sweat! One more day of elliptical then it's off to Utah for vacation in the Uintas. Hope to be able to do some hiking at least.

| 30 minutes on a bike up in the Uinta mountains on roads that were up and down. The elevation is 8500 ft. and sucks the life out of you! Can't believe guys like Craig(Jun) do this kind of elevation running for fun- |

| 4 mile hike up and back to Lake Lilly with a ride for part of it. Had to carry Amanda for a ways because her knees hurt. That is some tough business at this altitude (8500). Caught 7(kept 4) rainbow fish(as Amanda calls them) and the kids had a great time. |
