60 degrees and Gorgeous outside this morning! 5 easy with 2 strides to loosen the legs up as they are a little sluggish still. Just an easy run on the mean streets of Snoqualmie Ridge - Surprising how a few more degrees can make you sweat. Not used to it. Looks like I will have to start wearing my Sweet head bands to keep the sweat out of my eyes.

Splits 8:44, 9:09, 8:54, 8:50, 8:50 then a short walk home.

On wednesday after my easy 4 miler I ate a banana and had a power bar. Usually I drink Accelerade after my runs. Wednesday evening my muscles were still sore so I'm drinking my Accelerade right now to see if that is what made the difference.

Next run: Sat. 5 easy again

It's muggy today! I just checked the humidity and it is 72%!!! Soon we'll have our nice, dry, cool air back. Glad to see your recovery is coming along.

I like to drink and eat as poorly as possible after my runs. It brings me back down to earth and reminds me that I'm actually a dirtbag and not a cool athlete. you are my hero.

Sno, I did not realize that humidity was up so high -

Jun, Good! Just keep eating and drinking junk. Because that way I have this thought way back in my head that someday I might be able to run the paces you do :)

Good run. I'm a little jealous that you are in these recovery runs. They are nice runs to have. I feel so much less pressure on recovery runs, "the race is over!"

Good job getting out, taking it easy.

I'm eating popcorn right now. Followed by a few chocolate chip cookies and hopefully a root beer.

Jun, Popcorn is good for you...unless of course you eat it like we do loaded with butter and salt and then add some grated cheese to it. Choco chip cookies...depends if they are homemade. And just add a few scoops of vanilla ice cream to the rootbeer and you are good to go.

Supposedly you can eat all that sugary stuff the first 15 minutes after your run as it will immediately get back into your muscles as glycogen. Who knew?

I am on it! That sounds fantastic!!!!

I love popcorn. I have my own movie theater popcorn machine at home. Not big into the cheese on it though.

Jun, your making me want some good snacks.
