Got a 1:00 am wake up call with Amanda crying in our room. Heidi finally got her back to sleep and then she started crying again at 3:00 am. Finally figured out that she has an earache. Gaver her some motrin and watched some TV and she calmed down. Had a hard time getting back to sleep after that.

Cold wind in the streets this a.m. Making my eyes water. 10 weeks until the Marathon. Now that I've run one I have a better feel for what needs to be done to prepare for it.

Pretty good #'s this morning

What are your goals for the upcoming marathon?

Thanks for asking Monty...

Runnersworld and McMillan's training Calculator both say with proper training I can get between 3:27 and 3:31. I would absolutely love to get a 3:30 but would not be disappointed with a PR which was 3:55. I know I can cut at least 10 minutes off that PR though. How about you?

9:04 was my marathon pace, but my HR was around 160 during the race. Looks like you've got plenty to spare and a 10 minute PR would be cake for you.

The next AF marathon is in Sep, but I haven't started training for it. I'm working on my 3 mile time. I may have a test coming up in Apr. My best time was 20:47. I looked at my training prior to that and I'm doing my training runs faster than I was before, but I'm struggling with 7 minute mile repeats right now. Hopefully, test day jitters will fuel me.

How much of a break are you taking between repeats?
