Issaquah Cougar Mtn. trail run with Bruce. After yesterdays run I figured that fatigue was going to get me but I felt pretty good. Pretty sloppy mud in places.

Pace: 11:24

Avg HR: 141 (better than expected)

Nice to run on trails with minimal shock to the system. Beautiful day!!

Sounds lovely. Have you ever seen "Run for the Soul," about the Western States 100 trail run? And do you wear special trail shoes?

I have never seen the movie. Did you? And did you like it? Yes, I wear different shoes - new balance trail shoes - It is a very nice change of pace.

I have the dvd, along with a couple of other running movies. Maybe we should have a running movie & pizza night? I have: Run for the Soul, Running on the Sun (about Badwater), all the Prefontaine movies, plus Chariots of Fire, Running Brave, and Spirit of the Marathon. Who me, obsessed? Feel better soon!

The only problem would be that you and I would be watching the movies. Nobody else in my family would really care(I don't think). Pizza and games sounds good. We know a family that has the nicest daughter I think I've ever met. She's 12. How old is your DD(not totally sure what this means)?

hahahahaha! So true. Well, get it on Netflix or from the library and treat yourself then.

My DD just turned 12. She is a delightful girl, very sweet. Very advanced academically but very much "a child" in her play style and social interactions. I am finding that at this age, many girls suddenly morph into miniature teenagers and no longer want to play or pretend stuff. My DH isn't there yet. But she'd kill me if she knew I was telling you this -- I guess that's the teen coming... lol
