Took Tori to the Orthodontist and so got a late start. Woke up and the thermo said 33. Looked outside and was happy to see a clear day.

After dropping Tori off at school went to centennial park. Fogged in there, so a little cold still.

2.5 warm up on Sno valley trail.  pace 9  hr avg 144

5 mile tempo pace 7:32 HR avg 162(decent) seemed like it was upper 160's the last part. During the tempo I saw what looked to be a horse in the distance...got closer and noticed it was a Giant Great Dane! The woman walking with it didn't hear me and the dog was coming towards me so I started walking and yelled for the lady to get her dog. She said sorry that she didn't see me coming. Seriously that was a GIANT DOG! Scary-

2.5 mile cool down...my legs were not happy about this at all for the first 1.5 miles. pace 9:24 hr avg. 150

The fog burnt off and it was a gorgeous morning!

Oh! My blood pressure just went up. "Didn't see you?!?" Right. Why should she have to look out for other people right in front of her who might not want to tango with her enormous dog? Next thing you know, people will be expecting the poor dear to use a leash. Grrrrr. (Me, not the dog.)

While trying to keep my rant brief, I forgot to mention: nice run, Jeff.

I'm not sure if Boalch is open or not as I don't run on it very much unless it's really early because of the side of the road is non-existant if a car is coming. I run up 378th and around there is a nice loop and sometimes I run the old highway to North bend on long runs.

"Old highway to North Bend..." Do you mean 202? Is there another?

The other run I'm considering is the Sammamish River trail, going around to where it hooks up w/ the Burke Gilman trail. In Bothell, there are wild chickens on the trail; it's so cool. But that's a longer drive and I've got to take DD to 4H fairly early in the day. But you should try that chicken trail sometime for a long run. It is beautiful. The chickens are right near the "Bothell Landing" area.

Sno,

Do you know where the snoqualmie hospital is? From there in to North bend is where I am talking about. I think you go out 384th? It's downhill and flat into North bend...and you will run by my son's Eagle Scout project...the landscaping by the Welcome to North Bend sign. I used to live right by that place in Bothell. Wasn't a runner back then though.

I know that road. Thanks. How cool that your son did that landscaping!!
